  • Primary School Teacher Job Description 

    Responsibilities:

    • Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and educational standards.
    • Deliver effective instruction using a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
    • Assess and evaluate students' academic progress, provide constructive feedback, and develop individualised learning plans as needed.
    • Monitor and manage student behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
    • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' overall development and address any concerns.
    • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
    • Stay up-to-date with education trends, teaching methodologies, and best practices to enhance teaching effectiveness.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Education and valid teaching credentials for primary education, recognised by KYSATS.
    • Fluent in English language, native English speaker would be considered as a plus.
    • Proven experience or internship in teaching primary school students.
    • Permanent residency in Cyprus (non-EU citizens must have work permits/visas).
    • Excellent knowledge of the English National Curriculum, instructional techniques, and assessment methods. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
    • Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with and inspire young learners.
    • Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
    • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with educational technology tools.
    • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a growth mindset.
  • High School Greek Teacher/ Head of Greek for Primary School (part-time)

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and coordinate the Greek Department, ensuring high-quality teaching and curriculum development.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development support to Greek language teachers.
    • Oversee the implementation of the Greek curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
    • Act as the school’s primary liaison with the Ministry of Education for all matters related to Greek language and culture.
    • Organise and oversee Greek language and cultural events to promote an appreciation of Greek heritage.
    • Teach Greek language classes, including native Greek speakers, as required in both primary school and secondary school level.
    • Collaborate with school leadership to enhance the Greek language programme.
    • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and departmental initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Greek Language, recognised by KYSATS.
    • Permanent residency in Cyprus (non-EU citizens must have work permits/visas).
    • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with leadership responsibilities.
    • Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team of educators.
    • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong command of the English language (written and spoken).
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic school environment.
  • Math Teacher for afternoon Clubs (part-time)
