  • Every person involved with Rocky Mountain State Games has a responsibility to help ensure a safe & respectful environment, including recognizing and reporting inappropriate or potentially harmful behavior when observed. Colorado Springs Sports Corporation is committed to the safety and well-being of all athletes, volunteers, coaches, officials and spectators who engage in this annual community event.

  • WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT
    By agreeing to volunteer my services to the Rocky Mountain State Games (RMSG), I hereby accept any and all risks of injury to person (including paralysis or death) or damage to property as a result of or caused by such activity. I understand and agree that neither the RMSG, nor the National Congress of State Games, Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, any governmental entities involved, organizing and sponsoring agencies, National Governing Bodies, venue hosts, nor any of their affiliated entities or individuals, directors, officers, employees, agents, volunteers or any other representatives thereof shall incur any financial responsibility or liability whatsoever for any such injury or damage resulting from my participation in the RMSG, however caused, and whether due to negligence or other acts of anyone.

    Accordingly, I hereby waive, and release each of the foregoing individuals and entities from, all actions, claims or demands that I, my family or my heirs and assigns may have for injury to person (including paralysis or death) or damage to property, suffered or incurred by me due to my Rocky Mountain State Games volunteer position and all related activities. 

    The RMSG has a Zero Tolerance policy. RMSG Sport Commissioners reserve the right to disqualify or eject an individual or team for unsportsmanlike conduct from players, coaches or spectators or for any of the following reasons: false representation, use of alcohol and/or drugs, destruction of property, rules infraction, unsportsmanlike conduct or disorderly behavior. Unsportsmanlike conduct resulting in any type of altercation on the field of play, the venue grounds, etc., will result in disqualification for the entire tournament with no refund. Spectators affiliated with the participants are responsible for knowing and adhering to the rules and policies of the tournament. Athletes and coaches are responsible for knowing, understanding, and following the rules, policies and code of conduct for their sport(s).

    I acknowledge that I am aware that there are risks to me of exposure to directly or indirectly arising out of, contributed to, by, or resulting from:

    • An outbreak of any and all communicable disease, including but not limited to, the virus “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)”, which is responsible for Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and/or any mutation or variation thereof;

    Organizers reserve the right to bar the participant from the event if it is reported to and confirmed by organizers that the participant is a registered sex offender.

    I HAVE READ THIS ARGEEMENT CAREFULLY AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.

    Any one under the age of 18 may volunteer only with the permission of a parent or guardian. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by July 16, 2021.

    I hereby authorize the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation to conduct a background check on me prior to assigning me as an official for the Rocky Mountain State Games, should it be deemed necessary. This is very rarely ever necessary.
