  • Thank you for your interest in the 2027 PRSA Chicago Board of Directors. The Board is a prestigious and ambitious group of public relations and communications professionals in the Chicago area that acts as the local governing body and working team for PRSA. Each year, the chapter accepts applications for a limited number of new board members. While the process is competitive, your time on the Board will be rewarding as it helps shape the future of our industry in this region. Roles and responsibilities vary by position.

    Outlined below is a list of qualifications and responsibilities for the position. Please use the application form to nominate yourself or another individual. Once all applications are received, the board slate will be posted to prsachicago.com and shared with chapter members for approval via vote.

  • All board members are required to be members of both PRSA AND the PRSA Chicago chapter. Please see www.prsa.org/membership/membership-types for more information about the PRSA dues schedule.

  • Please indicate which committee(s) you are interested in chairing. You will find committee descriptions on the chapter’s website.

    • Awards - The Skyline Awards Committee manages every aspect of our annual awards program and celebration event, and partners with another PRSA Chapter to exchange judging responsibilities.
    • Communications (Comms) - The Communications committee is responsible for the creation and distribution of PRSA Chicago content on all channels.
    • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) - The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is dedicated to raising awareness of what diverse communications practitioners bring to our profession.
    • Membership - The Membership Committee is tasked with helping the chapter recruit and retain members, planning networking events, and managing its Mentorship Program.
    • Partnership - The Partnership Committee networks with Chicago organizations to partner with the PRSA Chicago chapter through patron sponsorship opportunities.
    • Programming - The Programming Committee is responsible for planning and executing professional development and educational events, including those aimed at rising professionals.
