Dear families,
PYC never wants financial barriers to prevent a young musician from participating in our programs. I hope you find the following information helpful with regard to our sliding scale application for the 2025-2026 Season.
TRUST-BASED REPORTING: We do not ask for documentation to verify the income you report. We trust you, and we hope that you trust us as well!
"WHY ARE YOU ASKING THAT QUESTION?": We are not trying to be nosy. Some of your answers to questions in this tuition assistance form are critical to help us raise funds to cover tuition awards. No personal details will be shared, but the data helps us be transparent with our funders, and quotes from your answers will help funders see that real individuals are behind the funding requests.
APPLICATION DEADLINES:
There are four deadlines for submitting the Sliding Scale Tuition application.
- RETURNING SCHOOL-YEAR REGISTRANTS: May 1, 2025
- SUMMER SINGERS DAY CAMP: May 1, 2025
- NEW SCHOOL-YEAR REGISTRANTS (FALL): TBA
- NEW SCHOOL-YEAR REGISTRANTS (SPRING): TBA
Applications are processed immediately after each deadline, with the available tuition assistance funds being awarded accordingly. Thus, late submissions cannot be considered for Sliding Scale Tuition until the next deadline.
Tuition Assistance decisions will be emailed during the following timeframes:
- RETURNING SCHOOL-YEAR REGISTRANTS: May 12-16, 2025
- SUMMER SINGERS DAY CAMP: May 5-9, 2025
- NEW SCHOOL-YEAR REGISTRANTS (FALL): TBA
- NEW SCHOOL-YEAR REGISTRANTS (SPRING): TBA
IMPORTANT: We require that you complete and submit the registration form before we accept and process this application.
