What is the Student Employee of the Year Program?
Every year Park University honors two outstanding student workers with a Student Employee of the Year award. One award is given to the Work Study Employee of the Year and one to the Graduate Assistant of the Year. Park employs many students in departments all across campus. They contribute to many areas of the University and are part of the reason Park is an excellent community of higher education. In turn, the people who supervise and work with the students help them to enter the workforce as better future employees.
This program is to recognize the student employees who warrant particular recognition for their performance on the job. If your department has a student worker that you feel is deserving of this honor, please take some time to nominate them for this year's award. The purpose is to show recognition for a job "Well done!" And as a bonus the winner can receive awards and prizes!
There are certain requirements for a student to be nominated. They are:
-Only one work study and one graduate student per department can be nominated.
- Only supervisors of a work study or graduate assistant can nominate.
- If a department has more than one supervisor, those supervisors must decide together which student to nominate.
- The student must be employed through the federal or institutional work study program, or a graduate assistant.
- The student must have completed at least (6) month's part-time employment by the end of the current spring semester.
How will the winner be selected and honored?
The nominations will be ranked by a panel of independent judges and a winner selected. The winners will be announced at Park University's annual Dr. Doris A. Howell Leadership Awards Ceremony.
Thank you for supporting and honoring our student employees at Park University!
