  • Thank you for applying to the Keizer Rotary Foundation's Scholarship Program.  Please follow & complete all fields below to be considered for the scholarship(s) being offered.

    These scholarships will be awarded based on:

    Application Completeness | Financial Need 

    Leadership & Community Involvement | SAT/GPA

     

    Scholarships to be honored within the calendar year it is awarded.

    ELIGIBILITY

    Any McNary High School graduating Senior who plans to further his or her education by attending a two or four year college is eligible for this award.

     

    INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHOLARSHIP

    1. Applications must be received by:  April 17, 2026

    2. Applicants must be in their senior year, attending McNary High School, with a minimum GPA of 3.75.  Attach your official high school transcript. (IF official transcript is unavailable, you may submit an unofficial copy)

    3. Applicants must provide two (2) letters of recommendation with the application; one from a community member and one from a McNary Staff member.

     

    In Addition to the information requirements:

    In a separate document, please answer the following questions and upload below:

    • What is your financial need? Please provide your particular circumstances that reflect this need.  Include number/ages of siblings living at home and number of siblings currently attending college.

    • Describe your involvement in community activities, outside of H.S. extra circulars.

    • Describe your general education and career goals.

    • Optional: Describe any special, personal, family or financial circumstances which you feel might help the Committee make a decision about your application.

  • This $1000 award for one young man and one young lady is given in memory of Pat Valentino, a former member of Keizer Rotary who dedicated his life to the service of mankind. The scholarship will be awarded to the most outstanding Senior boy and Senior girl at McNary High School.

  • This $1000 award is given to a student planning on pursuing a career in the medical field.

  • This $1000 award is given on behalf of Loren’s Sanitation to a student who has demonstrated scholastic merit and a financial need in their pursuit of a college education.

  • This $1,000 award is given on behalf of Wheat, LLC to a student who has demonstrated scholastic merit and a financial need in their pursuit of a college education.

  • This $1000 award is given to a student planning on pursuing a business and/or agriculture career.

  • This $1,000 award is given on behalf of Krista Kabacy, a former McNary student, to a student who has demonstrated scholastic merit and a financial need in their pursuit of a college education.

  • Criteria for Selection Weight

    Financial Need: 35%

    Leadership & Community Involvement: 30%

    SAT/GPA: 30%

  • All documents must be submitted through this platform.

    Documents provided in any other manner will not be reviewed, and could result in disqualification for scholarship consideration.
