Description: Celebrate World Quantum Day on April 14th with a hands-on introduction to quantum physics! Quantum physics is the backbone in modern technology such as quantum computers, semiconductors, and medical imaging. Did you know that every time you use your smartphone's GPS, capture a photo with its camera, stream music, or enjoy its vibrant display, you're benefiting from principles of quantum mechanics? This workshop offers a fun and accessible way to understand the key concept of quantum superposition. After a short lesson on the basics, students will put their knowledge to the test by playing a familiar game with a quantum twist: Quantum Tic-Tac-Toe.
This twist on a simple game is designed to make you think like a quantum physicist, with superposition woven into the rules. Register and explore the science that's shaping the future, one move at a time!
