  • Introduction

    ProMED Tasmania is proud to be the official event medical and first aid provider for Party in the Paddock 2026, held at Quercus Park, Carrick from Thursday 5th to Monday 9th February 2026.

    We are honoured to continue our partnership with Vibestown, having supported both Party in the Paddock and Party in the Apocalypse events since 2021. Our ongoing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and health-conscious environment for all festival-goers.

     

    On-Site Medical Services

    ProMED Tasmania will deliver 24-hour event medical and first aid coverage across the entire festival period through a range of service points and response capabilities:

    Main Medical Centre

    • 2 x Resuscitation Beds
    • 10 x Sub-Acute Beds
    • 8 x Walk-In Treatment Seats

    Arena Medical Post

    • 2 x Sub-Acute Beds
    • 6 x Walk-In Treatment Seats

    Additional Resources

    • Mobile Foot Patrols
    • Stretcher Vehicle Response Units

    Onsite Clinical Capabilities

    • FACEM-led medical team
    • Advanced cardiac and patient monitoring
    • Advanced airway management (including RSI and ETT)
    • Advanced pharmacology (including IV infusions and syringe drivers)
    • Point-of-care pathology testing (i-Stat with CHEM8+, CG8+, and cTnI)
    • Point-of-care ultrasound (Butterfly iQ)
    • Wound closure and plastering services

     

    ProMED PartySMART (Harm Minimisation)

    The ProMED PartySMART team will also be onsite, delivering harm minimisation and health education services throughout the event. Key services provided by ProMED PartySMART include:

    Safe Partying & Festival Education

    • Chill-out zones
    • Roving peer support crews
    • Substance use education and referral pathways
    • Electrolyte replacement fluids

    Sexual Health & Safety

    • STI education and prevention
    • Distribution of safer sex packs
    • Referrals to sexual health services
    • Provision of feminine hygiene products

    Sun & Outdoor Safety

    • SunSmart education
    • Free sunscreen and insect repellent

    Mental Health & Wellbeing

    • Promotion of mental health awareness
    • Referrals to support and counselling services

     

    Volunteer Roles Available

    1. Administration/Clerical Support
      • Assist with patient registration, record keeping, data entry, and basic triage functions.
      • Requirements: Basic Computer Literacy & WWVP Card (Volunteer or Volunteer/Employee)
      • Minimum Commitment: 2x 7-hour shifts

    2. ProMED PartySMART Crew
      • Participate in harm minimisation, health education, and basic first aid services as part of the ProMED PartySMART team.
      • Requirements: Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid & WWVP Card (Volunteer or Volunteer/Employee)
      • Minimum Commitment: 2x 7-hour shifts

    3. Health Care Professionals (EN / RN / Paramedic / Doctor)
      • Work in the medical centres or as part of response teams, providing clinical care in accordance with your qualifications and ProMED Tasmania’s scope of practice.
      • Requirements: Current AHPRA Registration & WWVP Card (Volunteer or Volunteer/Employee)
      • Minimum Commitment: 1x 10-hour shift

     

    Volunteer Benefits

    In return for fulfilling the minimum shift requirement, all volunteers will receive:

    • 4-day festival pass, including camping and car parking
    • Access to pre-event education and professional development
    • Valuable clinical experience in a unique, fast-paced environment
    • The opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of health professionals

    Please note: These roles are volunteer-based and are remunerated solely through the above inclusions. There is no monetary payment for participation.

  • All ProMED PartySMART crew are required to hold a current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certification as a minimum qualification for participation in the event. This ensures each team member possesses the necessary skills to respond to medical incidents and deliver effective first aid care.

    A copy of a valid HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate must be submitted prior to the event by emailing it to events@promedtas.com.au. Failure to provide this documentation may result in removal from the rostered shift.

    ProMED Tasmania can assist you in obtaining a HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate by attending one of our public courses - please email events@promedtas.com.au to arrange your attendance. The reduced cost for ProMED PartySMART crew is $30.

  • All personnel participating in the event are required to hold a current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration. This is a mandatory requirement to ensure compliance with legislative obligations and to uphold the safety and wellbeing of all individuals at the event.

    A copy of your valid WWVP must be submitted prior to the event by emailing it to events@promedtas.com.au. Failure to provide this documentation may result in removal from the rostered shift.

    A WWVP registration can be obtained via https://www.justice.tas.gov.au/rwvp - we require a minimum of a "volunteer" registration.
