    Getting started:

If you've never tried coding, it's worth starting with Hour of Code or Scratch. Both use a very simple graphical tool to help beginners become familiar with coding concepts.

    Getting more formal:

Dash focuses on front-end development with a touch of Javascript. We like that it has a clear link to a real business problem, and also presents a learning-by-doing approach.

    Learning languages:

Once you're comfortable with the basics, freeCodeCamp and Khan Academy  both provide excellent learning environments. All languages have their benefits & drawbacks. codeX starts with JavaScript, so this is a great place to kick off.
