Know Your Neighbor - Putnam CARES

Welcome to Putnam CARES' "Know Your Neighbor" series!

Putnam CARES (Community Action for Recovery, Empowerment and Support) is a community-led initiative created to address the growing mental health and substance use needs across Putnam County. Bringing together more than 40 volunteers and community organizations from across healthcare, education, law enforcement, and social services, Putnam CARES is committed to strengthening support systems and breaking down barriers of stigma.

With the "Know Your Neighbor" series, we hope to highlight the stories of Putnam County residents who have experienced, or are currently experiencing, mental health needs and/or substance use. We also want to highlight organizations who are serving these individuals. We want to share your story, including challenges you've faced, what has helped, etc.
