The purpose of this form is to register any Adults who were baptized in the Catholic Church for the Confirmation formation sessions offered by the diocese. If a pastor does not have a Confirmation preparation process for adults in his parish, he may take advantage of these formation sessions for his parishioners. To be eligible, the individual must:
- Live in the state of New Hampshire;
- Be registered in a parish in the Diocese of Manchester;
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Be baptized in the Catholic Church.
The Fall 2024 sessions for this formation process are: 6 Wednesday evenings, from 6:00pm till 8:00pm, on September 25 - October 30. All participants in these formation sessions will need a Bible (the New American translation, which you can purchase on Amazon here) and a Catechism of the Catholic Church (purchase on Amazon here).
The parish Adult Confirmation Coordinator, or Catechetical Leader responsible for Adult Confirmation, should complete this form. It should not be completed by the individual to be confirmed. Once registered, the confirmand will be contacted by the diocesan Director of Adult Faith Formation. All participants will receive a Zoom link via email to the Formation Sessions a few days before the first session.
Participants may receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at either of the Diocesan-wide Celebrations, held in both the Fall and the Spring. You can register your confirmand for Fall Confirmation here; the registration for Spring Confirmation will be released in early 2025. Participants can also opt to receive the sacrament at their parish celebration of Confirmation and First Communion for children; the Bishop's Office will release these dates to parishes as they are scheduled.
Registration Deadline: Monday, September 23, 2024
