PLEASE NOTE: Completing this form constitutes an official request to use the space, and in no way guarantees your event is scheduled. After submitting a request, please wait for a volunteer to contact you about your event. Event requests with less than two weeks notice may not be accepted - we are a fully volunteer operated space and need ample time to source a volunteer to open the space for your event.

Event Guidelines
- RUMAH prioritizes requests for educational and community-focused events
- RUMAH prioritizes free and sliding-scale events open to the public
- The Hub is a sober space, and no alcohol or other substances will be permitted on the premises
- Events may not support or denounce any political candidate, political party, or specific legislation (see here for more details)
- Events can be public or private
- Examples of appropriate requests: a lecture or presentation, a workshop, class or skill-share, a musical performance, an open mic, a movie night, a private meeting or event for a group, nonprofit, club, mutual aid collective, etc.
- Examples of inappropriate requests: sales rep displays, reseller recruitment events, government or government agency meetings/events, religious service or worship events, for-profit events without a community focus or provided resource, etc.

Access Information
- Address: 415 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27603
- Parking: 1 & 2 hour spots on surrounding streets, paid lots nearby (504 W & 309 Hillsborough), neighboring parking garages (closest at 501 W Jones). Free street parking after 5pm weekdays and all day Saturday & Sunday. One accessible spot on corner of N West & Hillsborough Streets.

- Public Transit: one to two blocks from stops 9479, 1703, 9570
- Entrance: suite is on ground-level, double doors, with loading zone immediately out front. Space is wheelchair accessible, no stairs or steps entering or within space.
- Restrooms: Two non-gendered bathrooms in the space, one with two toilet stalls and one with one toilet stall and one urinal. Each restroom has one wheelchair accessible stall with support bars.

- Main space (about 1,500 sq. feet, max capacity 100 standing room, varied numbers for seating based on room set-up. Please reach out if you have concerns about hosting a larger event!) available for use.
- Conference room (good for meetings with 10 or less) available for use.

- Podium with built-in speaker, microphone, available upon request.
- Kitchenette area in back with plenty of counter space, refrigerator, sink, microwave, miscellaneous serving ware, and keurig.
- If your event requires specific items/equipment/supplies/etc, you are welcome to bring them with you during load-in.
PAYMENT TIERS:
We aim to make The Hub accessible to all by allowing FREE reservation of the space. However, if you or your group have the capacity to make a donation in exchange for use of The Hub, please see the sliding scale donation tiers below for suggested amounts.
(suggested amounts based on rental of the entire space. The Hub's monthly expenses are about $4,500, so our cost for maintaining the space is about $150 per day).
You can make a contribution anytime through our donation portal.
- Individuals, artists, performers: $15 - $40
- Community clubs, collectives, etc: $25 - $50
- Small nonprofit organizations: $50 - $100
- Large nonprofit organizations: $100 - $300
- For-profit entities (not prioritized unless offering resources to the community): $200 - $500
- We are also open to other arrangements such as collecting a portion of ticket or event sales, vendor fees, food sales, exchanging resources or services, etc.
