  • Walk Leader Training: Self-assessment

  • As part of our refreshed approach to Walk Leader training, we're introducing an updated process which recognises your skill and experience as an alternative to online training.

So going forward, all walk leaders can choose to either complete our training or record their experience. This form is designed to help you record that experience.

To do so, all you need to do is confirm you have read the Walk Leader Handbook and have either:

    • Led 12 walks over the last three years for Ramblers groups, Ramblers Wellbeing Walks or a combination of the two
    • A qualification (Lowland Leader Award, Hill & Moorland Leader Award or Mountain Leader Award) from the Mountain Training association.

If you would prefer to complete the online training, simply visit our training platform and enter the log in details associated with your Ramblers account. Or speak to your local group to see what training they may be able to provide locally.

If you have any issues accessing the training, please get in touch with us at volunteersupport@ramblers.zendesk.com

This updated approach is the result of a review we began working with members and trustees on in 2023 – many thanks to everyone who contributed.

  • If more than one option applies to you, please select the most relevant. If you're unsure how to answer the above or have any questions relating to your role, please speak to your group before completing.

  • Should be Empty:
