Boxing Club | Tues/ThursDo you feel like you want to be in better physical shape? If so, there is no method more fun and exciting than boxing to achieve that goal. Learn how to throw a cross, hooks, uppercuts, and jabs. We’ll also focus on shadowboxing and jump roping skills which include alternate foot jumps, boxer step jumps and so much more. We’ll also explore boxing technique by holding pads for each other for striking exercises and by observing professional boxing strategies through film study. Cultivate a respect for the sport of boxing, get in better shape, develop practical self-defense skills, and feel positive about yourself in both a physical and mental sense. Film study is also a part of this class as it’s rather important to analyze and critique the sport from afar. Please note that this class requires dedication and work ethic. *** Grades 4-8.
