Hampton Roads Retail Catalyst Interest Form
Retail Alliance, in partnership with ABNB Federal Credit Union, NuMarket, and the Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has launched the Hampton Roads Retail Catalyst Pilot. It will support small retail businesses in the City of Portsmouth – High Street, Downtown Hampton Development Partnership – Settlers Landing/Bridge St./Queens Way, Newport News – Hilton Village Main Street, and Norfolk – Granby St.

This program offers business education, crowdfunding through NuMarket, funding opportunities through ABNB, and technical assistance with SBDC and Retail Alliance.

Eligible businesses must:
- Sell products, services, or experiences directly to consumers
- Be located in or planning to locate in one of the pilot communities
- Have or be willing to establish a physical retail space, online and/or social selling presence
- Be a startup, e-commerce or home-based business transitioning to a storefront, or an existing business ready to grow
- Startups must complete the Retail Alliance CROps (Certificate in Retail Operations) Program, and established businesses will be reviewed by a panel of experts to determine next steps in the pilot process.
- All participants will be required to complete a 30-day community engagement campaign before applying for additional funding opportunities.
- After acceptance into the program, each business owner will be required to upload a copy of their personal credit report.
**CROps graduates from the past three years are encouraged to apply and may not be required to repeat the program.
