2026 Scholarships and Bursaries Application Form

All students are welcome to apply for a bursary or scholarship. For information about the types of scholarships and bursaries available, please visit the Fees and Scholarships page on our website.

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: Complete all relevant sections of this application form.

Step 2: Submit your application by the relevant due date.

PRE-REQUISITES

Applicants must satisfy the following selection criteria:

• Enrolment in an accredited course of study with Ridley College
• Evidence of academic ability (in enrolled course for current students)
• Experience of leadership in gospel ministry (voluntary or paid)
• Demonstrate a clear sense that this is a period of biblical formation that will prepare them to invest in future possibilities – whether this is in the church, marketplace or bible/theological college
• Intention to study full-time (3 or 4 units per semester) on campus (scholarships only)

 

BENEFITS TO THE RECIPIENT

The goal of Bursary funds is to provide an investment in the recipient’s formation and preparation for future opportunities in Christian ministry by:

• Reducing the competing demands generated by the need to invest in study while also raising financial support to cover the payment of fees and living expenses.
• Enabling the recipient to increase their study load in order to complete their course in a shorter duration.

 

CONDITIONS OF RECEIPT

Beneficiaries must be willing to be involved in promotional activities for the scholarship or bursary fund.

Unless directly stated in the scholarship or bursary, students can elect to receive a taxable living allowance, a fee discount, or support for on-campus living.

Recipients of a scholarship/bursary must advise the Registrar of any changes in their enrolment status subsequent to being awarded a scholarship. Subsequent changes to enrolment may have an effect on the scholarship awarded as detailed below.

Funds available for Scholarships/Bursaries are limited and are only awarded each semester by this process and decision of the Scholarships Committee – Principal, Deputy Principal (Academic), Deputy Principal (Community), Chief Financial Officer, and Registrar.

 

AWARDING OF FUNDS

Applicants will normally be advised of the success of their application prior to the beginning of semester for the year the funds have been awarded.

If you are not currently enrolled as a student at Ridley, please ensure that you submit your College application by the same date if you have not already done so.

APPLYING FOR A TUITION FEE DISCOUNT BURSARY

If YES, please complete the following questions - otherwise leave blank and complete the Applying for a Taxable Living Allowance section.

Please note: It is Ridley College policy that fee discount scholarships/bursaries will NOT be considered for students otherwise eligible to use the Australian Federal Government’s FEE-HELP program except in the instance where a student has reached their statutory limit for their combined HELP debt.

Please note that it is the policy of Ridley College that the maximum amount for tuition fee scholarship/bursary awarded is 50% of total semester fees – scholarship/bursary applications should be no more than 50% of total semester fees.

If awarded a tuition fee discount scholarship/bursary, should a recipient’s enrolment for the semester later change, please note:

• If the recipient subsequently takes on additional units in the semester the total scholarship awarded will remain unchanged and will not scale upwards.
• If the recipient subsequently reduces their unit load for the semester the total scholarship awarded will be reduced to no more than 50% of the resulting tuition fee level.

Please note that Ridley will only award living allowance scholarships/bursaries to a maximum level equal to 50% of total semester tuitio fees – scholarship/bursary applications should be no more than 50% of total semester tuition fees.

If awarded a living allowance scholarship/bursary, should a recipient's enrolment for the semester later change, please note:

• If the recipient subsequently takes on additional units in the semester the total scholarship/bursary awarded will remain unchanged and will not scale upwards.
• If the recipient subsequently reduces their unit load for the semester the total scholarship/bursary awarded will be reduced to no more than 50% of resulting tuition fee level (this may require repayment of amounts to Ridley).

Please note: this option is only available to students with already confirmed on-campus accommodation at Ridley College only.
