We're excited to announce the 18th Street Makeover Project, and we need YOUR input to help shape the future of our community! The goal? To transform 18th Street into a safer, more beautiful boulevard that everyone in Riverbend can enjoy. 🌳✨

Right now, there’s no funding for this project, but that’s where our incredible community comes in! With your support and fundraising efforts, we can bring these ideas to life. Each proposed idea varies in cost and complexity, but they’ve all been successfully implemented in other Calgary neighborhoods—and with your help, they can happen here too!

Part 1: 18th Street Boulevard Beatification
The boulevard beutification efforts would be focusing on the section of 18th Street between Rivervalley Drive and 21st Street SE.
On the scale of 1-5 (1 being the least and 5 being the most) please indicate below how appealing each of the beautification ideas is to you.

Please keep in mind that funding for this project will need to be based on the fundraising efforts of the community.

Pave the median between Riverview Close/Riverwood Circle and Riverview Circle/21st Street, with the option to enhance the concrete with bright colors and patterns. Consider adding flag posts for extra visual impact, inspired by a design used in Drumheller*

Install raised planters on the median, with the option to include flag posts for added decoration. This design is inspired by similar installations on Memorial Drive and 16th Ave.*
