SUBMISSION INFORMATION:

- Application processing time is currently 3 to 5 days.

- Upon receipt of the submitted application, the City will request any remaining documents or fees required by responding to the email address listed for the "Applicant Contact" above.

- The completion, payment, and/or submission of this application form in no way guarantees the approval or subsequent issuance of a license to do business in the City of Riverside. Any requirements for a particular type of business and/or location of a business must be satisfied prior to the issuance of a license.
- In certain instances, a business may simply be required to register with the city and the Applicant Contact will be provided the materials for that registration process.

TYPES OF APPLICATION:

NEW BUSINESS-

- A business license is required prior to engaging in business in the City of Riverside. If a business intends to maintain a physical location within the city, a Zoning Certificate and Certificate of Occupancy are required prior to the issuance of a business license.

RENEWAL-

- All regular license renewals are due January 1st and delinquent after January 31st each year.

- Submission of reneal application by January 31st ensures no initial late fees/penalties are incurred.

- An additional 15% penalty is charged 30 days after the due date, plus an additional 15% penalty for delinquency of 60 days or more. March 1st and thereafter, all delinquent accounts charged an additional simple interest of 1% per month.

- All Insurance Company License renewals are due January 1st and delinquent after March 1st of each year.
