2025 Harvest Intern Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a scholar for Rooted In France 2025. Please read all information carefully and complete all required information. Once the application is processed, we will reach out to you for the next steps. Please keep in mind that you must meet all requirements to apply.

All recipients must complete this application for all Roots Fund consideration. Applications Close on April 6th. If you have any questions please email wine@therootsfund.org

Application requirements:

Be 21+ years old and a US resident, residing in the US.
Attained a bachelor’s degree (June 2015-June 2025) from a HBCU or any College/University in Agriculture, Hospitality & Tourism, or Business major. *If you graduated anytime between 2015-2025 with a bachelor's degree you qualify.
Minimum 3.2 GPA (you need transcripts to apply)
Have a US passport (must be valid at a minimum through 2029)
Pass a background check.
Be able to commit to 14 months in France at the start of August 2025, and two years in the Roots Fund program.

Willing to work in the beverage industry during Summer 2025 prior to departure (Coordinated by The Roots Fund).

Willing to learn basic French from April to June.

Must complete WSET levels 1-2 by July 2025, (Coordinated by The Roots Fund.)
