**This scholarship can be used for all types of education in beverage, with the exception of college tuition. Please have your resume and any previous certifications handy before you start the application, as they are required attachments.

All recipients must complete this application for the "It Was All A Dream" scholarship consideration. Scholarships close in February 19, 2026.

To be considered to be a Roots Fund scholar, you must:

-Identify as an underrepresented person
-Be actively working in the beverage industry (hospitality, restaurants, retail)
-Must be a legal US resident, and currently reside in the US
-Have the intent to enroll in a certification program by April 2026 if applicable.
(attach proof of any level of certification you have already received) If you're taking CMS or WSET diploma you have till June of 2026 to enroll.

OR

-Have intent to just join our community to learn about Wine & Spirits.

-Must be 21 years of age to utilize funds for any certification course

The Roots Fund is an organization that offers multiple layers of support. Other areas of opportunity to apply for are community services, internships, and more. Please clearly specify which you're looking for below.

*This application is the first step in the selection process. If selected, an interview with a scholar board member will be required before the final selection. Funding will be disbursed in March-April 2026.
