The SAE Foundation Impact Award is designed to recognize and honor exceptional mentors who have made significant contributions to the personal and professional development of SAE initiates under their guidance. This prestigious award celebrates the art of mentoring and acknowledges the profound impact mentors have on shaping lives and fostering success.
In recognizing potential candidates, the following criteria should be demonstrated:
• Impact: The mentor has had a transformative impact on the lives of their mentees. They have helped mentees overcome challenges, set, and achieve goals, and reach their full potential.
• Commitment: The mentor consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to the development and growth of their mentees. They invest time, energy, and resources to provide guidance and support.
• Empowerment: The mentor empowers mentees by instilling confidence, nurturing strengths, and fostering independence. They create a supportive environment that encourages mentees to take risks and embrace opportunities.
• Leadership: The mentor serves as a role model and exhibits exemplary leadership qualities. They inspire mentees through their own achievements, integrity, and ethical conduct.
• Innovation: The mentor adopts innovative approaches and techniques to engage and motivate mentees. They adapt their mentoring style to meet the unique needs of each individual and encourage creativity and critical thinking.
Any SAE initiate may submit a nomination to the SAE Foundation for consideration of the award which can be made at anytime. Nominations should include a detailed description of the mentor’s qualifications, examples of their mentoring accomplishments, and the ways in which they have made a significant difference in the lives of their mentees. Nominators should provide specific anecdotes, testimonials, or success stories to illustrate the mentor’s exceptional qualities. Nominations can be submitted through the link below.
Finalists may be contacted for additional information or interviews. The Foundation will select the recipient of the SAE Foundation Impact Award based on overall impact, innovation, and sustained dedication demonstrated by the mentor. The award will consist of an engraved plate on a plaque in the Levere Memorial Temple along with a ribboned medallion. An account of the award will also be chronicled in The Record.
