  • Mentoring Network session "Ask me anything: Real Conversations, Real Insights." Wednesday, 2 September | 08:00 - 10:00

    Join us for an engaging Mentoring Network Session “Ask me anything: Ortho Edition”  designed to connect junior orthopaedic surgeons with experienced leaders in the field. In this informal, dynamic format, senior orthopaedic surgeons will be seated at round tables, ready to share their insights, experiences, and advice on everything from surgical careers to work-life balance. Mentees are encouraged to move freely between tables, choosing the mentors and topics that resonate most with their interests and questions. This is a rare opportunity to have open, honest conversations with some of the most respected voices in orthopaedics — no lectures, no slides, just real talk. Come with questions, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

    Building on last year’s successful format, we have invited junior surgeons and registrars to share the key questions and pressing topics they have always wanted to explore with senior colleagues. The session aims to create an open space to discuss real-world issues such as balancing career and personal life, navigating career progression, and gaining practical insights into transitioning into private practice - all while maintaining a sustainable and fulfilling personal life.

  • Mentee

    We’d love your input to give you the greatest benefit from the session. Please share a question or topic you’d like a senior colleague to address, anything that matters to you, not just academic. The focus is on practical issues such as work-life balance, career progression, and insights into private practice. You’re also welcome to suggest someone you’d specifically like to hear from.
