The PLUGS program committee is soliciting high quality, inspiring proposals for the 6th Annual PLUGS 2020 Summit. Selected proposals will be asked to prepare 20 min presentation during a breakout session. Suitable proposals include topics such as genetic counseling in lab stewardship, operational tactics in lab stewardship, stewardship intervention successes and failures (including genetic cases and "the other 88% of lab testing"). The propoals may take the form of case studies, retrospective and prospective studies describing measurable interventions or process changes, quality improvement processes – successes and failures are encouraged. Please submit your proposal by Nov. 1, 2019. Submissions will be reviewed by the program committee and you will be notified of the outcome by Nov. 15, 2019.
Please note that opportunities for employees of for-profit, commercial interests to present a poster at the PLUGS Summit 2020 are limited. Employees of commercial interests* are not permitted to participate in CME-accredited sessions and presentations unless it can be demonstrated that the proposal content:
- Is not about or related to the business lines or products of their employer.
- Is limited to basic science research (e.g., pre-clinical research, novel assay development, or laboratory stewardship data) or the processes/methodologies of research that is unrelated to a specific disease
- Is not related to clinical applications of the research/discovery or clinical recommendations concerning the business lines or products of their employer.
