Legal Responsibility of Hospitals and Nursing Homes in Preventing Pressure Sores
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Do you have a pressure sore? For too long medical providers have made individuals with spinal cord injuries believe that a pressure sore is unavoidable. That is false. When medical providers follow the national standards of care, pressure sores are avoidable in hospitals and nursing homes. We are working to advocate and educate the spinal cord injury community that this serious secondary condition is avoidable and if you receive a pressure sore while in a medical setting you may be entitled to damages for your injuries. Thank you for being a part of the movement to hold hospitals and healthcare providers accountable, and for creating better outcomes for the spinal cord injury community. We are STRONGER TOGETHER!
