Interest Form for LOVR Campus Walk/Run
Conversations about sexual and dating violence can be daunting and filled with anxiety and blame.

We would like to invite you to a space to explore a different conversation to talk through sexual and dating violence. A conversation that lets individuals experience safety, care and empowerment that centers on the needs of individuals who had experienced violence. We need your inputs on what is happening in Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and what change needs to happen.

Join us if you are interested to support your peers who had experienced sexual or dating violence and learn about Restorative Justice and circle practices.
Join us for a virtual campus community run/walk and for a good cause! We hope to see students running or walking anywhere around their campus (or near campus) on 11 or 12 January 2025!

Why do we do this?

Let Our Voice Run is a LCCS campaign that focuses on taking a proactive approach on addressing abusive behaviours experienced by young adults in Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL).

Through a community walk/run, we hope to connect people, bridge divides through conversations about the issue of relationship violence. Relationship violence can happen to anyone and it is everybody’s business to dialogue and build shared concern about the issue.

This is a much needed area of work and we hope to raise the awareness of the issue, providing brave spaces for students to dialogue and gain perspectives about the issue.

We are looking for interested students from polytechnics and universities to lead a community run/walk on campus!

To participate, you only need to:
1. Gather a group of friends to do this with you.
2. Decide on a route on campus or near campus.
3. Receive our merchandise before event day.
4. On the day of your walk/run, wear a blue t-shirt.
5. Teams who complete the event will get a free LOVR 2025 t-shirt!
