  • Sea kayaking can be a physically demanding sport, and may take place in remote areas beyond the immediate reach of the emergency services.  Please help your guide/ coach to keep you safe by answering the following questions.  Please note that declaring a medical condition will not, in most cases, prevent you from kayaking.  We do take the protection of data that we hold about you seriously and will do everything possilbe to ensure that data is collected, stored, processed, maintained, cleansed and retained in accordance with current and future UK data protection legislation.  We do NOT pass on your data to any third party for any reason, other than the emergency services in the event of an incident.  

  • I hereby understand that the information that I have given above is, to the best of my knowledge, truthful and accurate.  I understand that sea kayaking can be a hazardous activity that can, although highly unlikely, result in severe injury or death.  Although Sea Kayak Argyll & Bute will take all possible precautions to keep me safe, I understand these risks and accept them in order to participate in the activity.  If I have any concerns about the health and safety of myself or others members of the group, I will address them to the group leader for explanation or resolution.  I agree that as a condition of use of any equipment provided by Sea Kayak Argyll & Bute, that I shall take reasonable care to prevent its damage or loss, and that if I do damage or lose this equipment I may be held liable in full or in part for its repair, recovery or replacement.
