From 14 April 2022, it is a requirement, all Bronze TAF's (Facilitators, Trainers and Assessors) hold HLTAID010-Provide basic emergency life support unit of competency. On top of this, it is also a requirement for those that wish to under take the SLSQ "PUA21012 to PUA20119 Upgrade".
Reason:
PUA20119 - Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) - which we issue with the Bronze Medallion changed.
This change resulted in the unit of competency HLTAID002 being replaced with the new HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support, as a core unit.
This form includes the evidence that you as the candidate have completed the required components by holding HLTAID011-Provide first aid UoC to issue the new HLTAID010-Provide basic emergency life support UoC.
How to complete this form:
- You will need to save a PDF copy of your latest awards list from the SLS Members Area Memberships > Awards as this is required to be uploaded in the form
- Have completed the Skills Maintenance either 2023/2024 and have a proficient Bronze Medallion and Resuscitation awards (expiry 31/12/2024 or later).
- Hold HLTAID011 - Provide first aid Unit of Competency.
Submitting the form:
To submit the form, all questions must be answered correctly.
The questions will only appear once you have answered the previous question correctly.
Once all questions are correct, the SUBMIT BUTTON will appear.
After Submission:
- After you have submitted the form, SLSQ Assessor will review the form and mark accordingly.
- If deemed Competent you will receive a Certificate (Statement of Attainment) to the email entered when completing your online Student Registration.
- When you receive the Certificate (Statement of Attainment) by email, please log into your SLS Members Area Memberships > Awards to confirm you hold U0C HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support
- You can now recommence training and/or assessing Bronze courses.
