HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development-C (PHCD-C) Online Training
Due to the registration requirements of HIGH-FIVE National, all participants must register using their individual emails addresses.
Cost: FREE* for participants from member communities and $20 for non-members (must still be District residents). If your community would like to become a member, the membership form and details are available HERE. Non-members will be invoiced.
Who: This course is for anyone providing programs for children ages 4 to 12 such as full/part-time recreation staff, coaches, swim instructors, before and after-school care providers, and teachers.
What: HIGH FIVE® PHCD-C online training helps those working with children aged 4 to 12 enhance program quality, ensuring that every child has a positive experience in your programs.
How: Training equips participants with the essential knowledge about the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive attributes of each age and stage of a child’s development.
Participants will learn how to incorporate the three essential Design Guidelines so that programs are Welcoming of Diversity and Uniqueness, Safe, and Developmentally Appropriate.

Leaders who complete this training in full are provided with an additional complimentary online training, Healthy Minds for Healthy Children.
When: This online training is available 24-7 so participants can learn at their own pace*.
*Please submit a proof of completion by August 15, 2020. Upon completion, the South West District will request a follow-up evaluation.
