The Leadership Award (formally the Lifetime Achievement Award) is the ISRII organization's highest accolade recognizing exceptional individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and contributions to the field of Internet Interventions. This prestigious honor celebrates their profound impact on the scientific community through visionary stewardship, groundbreaking research, and innovative initiatives. Recipients of this award are esteemed for their unwavering dedication to advancing the frontiers of knowledge and inspiring future generations of digital health scientists.
Criteria: To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be a current ISRII member and/or be attending the 2024 meeting.
The application deadline is February 9, 2024.
The specific criteria for receiving the Leadership Award in the field of Internet Interventions MIGHT draw from one or more of the following contributions:
- Outstanding Contributions: Demonstrated significant and lasting contributions to the field of Internet Interventions, which could encompass research, technology development, policy advocacy, or other relevant areas.
- Leadership: Exhibited exceptional leadership qualities, which may include guiding research teams, leading collaborative efforts, or playing a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the field.
- Innovation: Pioneered innovative approaches, technologies, or methodologies that have advanced the understanding or application of Internet Interventions.
- Impact: Made a profound and positive impact on the scientific community or society at large through their work in Internet Interventions.
- Sustained Excellence: Demonstrated consistent excellence in their contributions over a significant portion of their career, potentially including a long-term commitment to the advancement of the field.
- Mentorship and Education: Contributed to the development of future leaders in the field by mentoring students, researchers, or others and promoting education and training initiatives.
- Advocacy: Actively advocated for the field of Internet Interventions, promoting its importance and relevance within the broader scientific and healthcare communities.
- Ethical and Professional Conduct: Maintained high standards of ethical and professional conduct in their work, upholding the values of integrity, transparency, and collaboration.
- Impact on Digital Health: Demonstrated how their work has positively influenced the field of digital health and its potential to improve healthcare outcomes.
Application: To nominate an individual for this award, please ensure that the submission comprises at least two endorsement letters from active ISRII members. Additionally, include a description of the nominee's qualifications and how they align with or surpass the designated criteria. It is worth noting that the award criteria encompass multiple aspects, and candidates need not fulfill all of them. Instead, emphasize the nominee's noteworthy achievements in one or more of the specified areas. Please keep each nomination letter to 2 pages or less.
