    Pay Range: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour


    Position Overview:

    The Client Support Advocate position is responsible for providing support across all of SimplifyCT’s programs. This position assists customers and/or volunteers with tax filing guidance, assists in the operations of SimplifyCT’s Call Center by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and providing assistance with other inquiries. Additionally, this position provides general support in all triage operations through SimplifyCT’s Virtual tax preparation offerings.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide customers and/or volunteers with tax filing guidance and answers tax law questions.
    • Answer phone calls, respond to requests and other related inquiries as part of the Call Center.
    • Set up appointments, as needed, at local VITA sites through the online appointment system.
    • Communicates and provides client support through the GetYourRefund Case Management platform.
    • Capture vital customer tax and demographics in the Salesforce system.
    • Provide general assistance to all tax preparers through Slack.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

     Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED Required.
    • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation and valid insurance required.
    • IRS Tax Certifications in Advanced and Site Coordinator Required. (Training to be provided by SimplifyCT).
