SALARY & BENEFITS

2025 Hourly Rate: $28.57(Trainee rate); $28.88 (Step 1 Dispatcher rate)

There are a couple things to remember as you go through this process:

Always Be Honest - We want us to be as much of a good fit you as you for us.

The Process is Not Fast - Our hiring process is, on average, faster than most 9-1-1 centers, but there are a lot of steps involved in public safety jobs that can't be skipped, so the process will take some time.

The Dispatcher Schedule - Shifts are bid by seniority (with some rules to prevent camping). They are 12-hour shifts; 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off; Graves are 6pm to 6am and Days are 6am to 6pm. You will stay on the same shift for four months and will know your schedule for the year, one year prior. All overtime is scheduled on your weekend, as we do not make employees work more than 12 hours in a day.
