Cat Feeder Registration Form Logo
  • Cat Feeder Registration Form

Thank you meowy much for your interest in volunteering with SoBe Cats!  Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and the lifeline to the kitties. The goal of SoBe Cats is to create teams with feeders, in their areas, so feeders can share the responsibility of feeding and the cost of the food. Teams can help lighten the load on caring for these lovely kitties...share the scheduling demands, reduce the amount of food that each volunteer will need to purchase, etc. The feeders play a vital role in the mission of SoBe Cats because not only do they supply the cat colonies with the food and fresh water for survival, but are also the eyes and ears for the cats that are in need of TNVR (Trap Neuter/Spay Vaccinate Return) or medical assistance. As a feeder you will alert your team lead when you see a cat that has not been spayed/neutered (noted by a left ear-tip snip), so that we can work together to ensure the cat(s) get fixed and vaccinated.

  • SoBe Cats and Miami Beach Registered

    Feeder Rules & Agreement

Please carefully review each of the SoBe Cats / City of Miami Beach Registered Cat Feeder Rules listed below. It is in the best interest of the community cats if we don’t bring any attention to them; hence being a quick, clean & tidy feeder is the way to go!

Our goal is to help control the Miami Beach community cat population while helping the kitties live outside with love.

    • Wear your SoBe Cats badge while feeding.
    • Do not trespass on private property to feed the cats without permission from property owner.
    • Cats must be fed on the ground (not in the grass or in sand), or on palm husks, grape leaves or in an inconspicuous container. Any feeding containers must be removed once the cats are finished eating.
    • If the kitties don't eat the food within 15-30mins it is likely too much food being put down.
    • No food or containers may be left behind as it is considered litter.
    • If the food is staining the ground, please use leaves.
    • No Styrofoam (polystyrene) containers are to be used.
    • Water may be left behind in a black or dark colored container at the feeding site, in an inconspicuous area, but must be cleaned and changed daily. Parks and public areas should use coconut shells that we provide free of charge.
    • We encourage you to befriend local feeders or area cat friends to help with food donations and scheduling, thus not wasting food.

Feeders MUST notify SoBe Cats of:

    • FIXING CATS! Cats without an ear-tip (meaning not spayed or neutered), thus needing Trap Neuter Vaccinate Return (TNVR): TNVR Request form: https://form.jotform.com/SoBeCats/TNVRRequest
    • Cats that appear to be sick, acting strangely or losing weight: email: Help@SoBeCats.org
    • Feeder will notify SoBe Cats of any issues with park rangers, police, code compliance or community residents.
    • If approached by a concerned resident please kindly explain what our goal is…to help control the Miami Beach cat population while helping the cats live outside with care and vaccinations. Whether they like cats or not, they should like our program!

T-Shirts: We have many feeders that find that wearing a SoBe Cat Feeders shirt helps with resident questions.  If interested, you may purchase them at: https://www.bonfire.com/sobecats/

If anyone requests more information refer them to email: info@SoBeCats.org.

Thank you so much for caring about our community cats. We appreciate each and every one of you and your dedication to this mission!
