    2026-2027 Student Foundation Hiring Packet
  • This packet contains all of the forms, rules and regulations, and information needed for applying to be an executive for Student Foundation.

    Dear STUFU Candidate,

    Thank you for applying to become a member of the Southwestern College Student Foundation executive team. By merely involving yourself in this hiring process you are taking an important step in helping our college to become a better place. 

    Enclosed in this Hiring Packet are all the necessary forms and rules regarding the hiring process. Please take the time to carefully review all rules and regulations concerning materials, deadlines for forms etc.  Once you have received this Hiring Packet and filed for a position, you will be responsible for upholding these rules and regulations.  Failure to comply could result in ineligibility from role since these are paid positions.

    Timeline for the STUFU Executive Team

    Applications available (online): Wednesday March 4
    Application Due: Wednesday March 11 (by 5:00pm)
    Interviews: March 23 - 26
    Announcement of new executive team: Friday March 27


    Selection Process

    The election process is extremely selective. You will be required to complete this application, as well as:

    1. Interview with Campus Life Director and Dean of Students (for hired positions only)

    2. Submit resume (below)

    3. Submit a cover letter for position of interest (below)

    4. Professional Portfolio (Executive VP of Marketing ONLY)

    Need ideas on what goes in a portfolio click here. (promotional materials, flyers, you have done and you are proud of)

    Event proposal outline (All other VP positions)

    An event proposal should include at least a clear timeline from planning process to event execution, detailed budget, supplies list, staffing needs, and goals/intended outcomes from event. (Event Proposal | Event Budget Proposal)

    5. Submit 1 letter of recommendation from a professor in your major AND 1 letter of recommendation from a staff member (may not be a Student Affairs staff member), TWO TOTAL (Click here for Letter of Recommendation)

  • FERPA Release for Disclosure of Student Education Records

  • I, the undersigned student, hereby grant permission and authorize Southwestern College to disclose information in my education records, including but not limited to cumulative credit hours, competed semester hours, semester and cumulative grade point average pursuant to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) to the Student Foundation of Southwestern College.

    This release and authorization allows for the ongoing exchange of education records and information between Southwestern and the Student Government Association of Southwestern College. I understand that I may revoke this consent, in writing, at any time but revocation will not affect disclosures previously made by Southwestern College prior to the receipt of any revocation.

    I agree to release Southwestern College and its past and present officers, employees, agents, and successor, to the maximum extern permissible under law, from all claims and liabilities for damages, known or unknown, that may result from compliance with this authorization and release.
