For no extra fee, fish are prepared by your guides with no vaccuum packing, just loose bagging, to meet DFO transportation guidelines, stored on site our on site freezer.
Bring Your Own Coolers: BRING COOLERS WITH YOU if you are not vaccum packing with our on site processor. Your Coolers have to be big enough to accomodate the fish and at least 1/4 of the cooler with ice. Multiple coolers are recommended.

Bottom Fish: filleted with the skin and all fins on, full size filets. Size regulations for halibut require the complete one side is intact including caudal fin and tail.
Salmon you can have either: (let us know when you get onsite)
- head off and gutted (all fins, skin on by law)
- head on and gutted (all fins, skin on by law) Requires you bring lots of extra large coolers
- Filleted with tail attach, filets in one piece with all skin and fins and tail on. This is most efficent method that reduces cooler requirements.
If you are planning to use St Jeans for canning or smoking, please consult with them directly in Campbell River in advance to review their hours of operation for drop off. They are often closed on Sundays and Holidays. They may have exchange coolers available on site to lend you, ask in advance. There are no exchange coolers available in Kyuquot.
