2025 Dance Call

To schedule an appointment, please fill out the information below. Contact auditions@stagesstlouis.org for any questions.
Dance Call for AUSTEN’S PRIDE and BEAUTIFUL takes place on Saturday, February 1.

Sign-up will begin for AEA Members ONLY on Monday, January 20th at 10:00am CST.

Sign-up will open up for all on Wednesday, January 22nd at 10:00am CST.

All performers must be over the age 18 (as of May 1, 2025).
 
Sign-ups close at end of day on Monday, January 27 and emails confirmations of appointments will be sent Wednesday, January 29.

All AEA members will receive first priority in receiving time slots.

There will likely be a final callback for the full Broadway team in NYC. The cast chosen at STAGES will ideally continue with the show through a tour beginning immediately after the STAGES run, then an anticipated Broadway run. There are no plans for these final callbacks to be done via Zoom or video. Those dates are TBD. Those auditions will be conducted through Tara Rubin Casting.
On the Audition Day, please bring with you:

1. A Photo ID/AEA Membership Card (if applicable)

2. Current Headshot & Resume
Seeking dancers who sing of all ethnic backgrounds to portray various ensemble roles in AUSTEN’S PRIDE and BEAUTIFUL. There will be a mover combo for Beautiful and a ballet combo for Austen’s Pride. Female Identifying dancers should bring character heels and ballet shoes (if applicable). Male Identifying dancers should bring character/jazz shoes or sneakers and ballet shoes (if applicable).

Please come warmed up and ready to dance. You must be signed up via JotForm in order to be seen. Dancers may be asked to sing. Please prepare 16-32 bars of music from your book in the style of the show.
IN CASE you are asked to read, please be familiar with the sides packet that corresponds to the character you are interested in. PLEASE NOTE – YOU MAY OR MAY NOT BE ASKED TO READ.

Contract:
STAGES works under a L.O.A. to C.O.S.T Equity contract.  Each season we hire a select number of non-Equity actors.  All performers not signed to an Equity contract are hired with pay.
