We are pleased to announce that The Maidenhead Christmas Lights Switch On will be back for 2021.
The event has grown year on year to be one of the most popular events in the town's busy calendar. St Ives Road, Queen Street and the High Street are closed to traffic for the day to allow for market stalls to set up and trade creating a bustling festive market attracting crowds of shoppers.
The lights switch on event starts at the Town Hall from 4.30pm with live music building up the lights switching on at 6pm followed by a spectacular firework display from the roof of the Town Hall that is always guaranteed to attract big crowds.
Market traders wishing to set up at the event will be trading from 9.30am until 7pm after the crowds have dispersed from the event.
Set up will be from 8am and pack down will not be before 7pm. Parking for traders will be provided.

- The cost of a 3m x 3m pitch is £40
- Food trader pitches will be £80 per pitch
- All traders must have public liability insurance and where necessary relevant health & hygiene and gas safety certification
- All traders will be expected to provide their own equipment and dispose of their own waste
- Traders wishing to use generators must use diesel and the generator must be super silent (if it is not you will not be able to use it)
- We are seeking a variety of traders including craft, Christmas products, food and gifts
- This event is outdoors in winter so please ensure you have adequate equipment for the day - i.e. robust gazebo and weights
We try to arrange lovely sunny weather, but it doesn't happen every year!
