    Applicants must:

    • Be a US Citizen or permanent, legal US resident. International students are not eligible.
    • Be available to work a 40-hour week: Personal time off is offered and includes sick, holiday, and vacation time.

    • What makes you a good candidate for the HBCU program. Tell us about your course of study and any past relevant work experience.
    • Given that the staff and volunteers at the site consist of people from different backgrounds, what will you do to ensure a positive, healthy, and successful work environment at your site?

  • How Long Will This Application Take?


    Once your Cover Letter and resume are prepared, this online application form will take less than 15 minutes to complete and submit.

     There are 3 short parts to the application

    1.   Basic Applicant Information (estimated 2 minutes)

    2.   Application Materials:

       a) General Interest (estimated 1 minute)

       b) Resume and cover letter uploads (estimated 2 minutes)

           Please answer the following questions in your cover letter:

    • What makes you a good candidate for the Conservation Legacy HBCU program/what unique skillset can you bring to the program?
    • Given that the staff and volunteers at each site consist of people from different backgrounds, what will you do to ensure a positive, healthy, and successful work environment at your site?

       c) Contact Information for 2 References (estimated 3 minutes)

    • Both email and phone information requested for references
    • References can be anyone who knows you in either a personal, professional, or educational way. Teachers/professors, case workers, relatives, supervisors, or similar are all acceptable references.
