CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Aerial Hammock Flyers (Ages 5-6): This fun filled aerial hammock fitness class is guided by certified trainers who specialize in working with children. This series utilizes thematic material inspired by the elements (Fire, Water, Earth, and Air) to engage your child while they dance, swing, stretch, spin, balance, strengthen core muscles, and open the imagination. Littles also calm the mind with a gentle cocoon at the end of class to rebalance and renew before parent pick up. Discover the fun of exercise while developing courage and self-confidence.

Mixed Aerial (Ages 7-12 & Preteen/Teen) : This mixed level, multi apparatus class is designed for the aerialist in training who wants to learn skills and technique alongside floor choreography. Students will condition for strength and flexibility while learning tricks and poses on different apparatuses like Silks, Aerial Hoop/Lyra and Hammock. Students will learn safe aerial sequencing using musicality and artistry to encourage focus on the performance aspect of aerial arts. The small class size allows for the freedom to follow individual student's strengths, challenges and interests with each week building off the last and always having something new to learn! Every 8 weeks will focus on a different themed choreography and end with a parent/special friend viewing session to see what they are workking on!
Performance TEAM (Ages 10 + by invitation) Studio K is pleased to announce its Youth Aerial Performance Troupe. Headed by the Director of Youth Aerial Program, Elli Williams & Jennifer Green, Founder FLAIR Aerial. The mission is to give our accomplished aerial students the opportunity to put their hard work and creativity into action with two yearly performances (Fall & Spring).
Participating students will learn to create and execute choreography with refined movement quality and skill transitions while developing endurance strength and musicality. Through solo, duo and group pieces students will learn the elements of choreography, showpersonship and cooperation in a fun and supportive environment.
Requirements:
-Invitation only
-One class / week
-One Troupe practice / week (Friday 5:30 or Private Session),
-Two yearly performances + dress rehearsal for each
-Performance Troupe fee- Costume and additional prep work needed
Criteria:
Performance Troupe is reserved for students that demonstrate a high level of technical skill and artistic foundation as well as commitment and discipline to their practice.
Students must be minimum 10 yrs old, have obtained Level 2 and above skills in all apparatus’, have good flexibility, strength, core control and show a passion for performance and choreography.
The Youth Aerial Troupe will be performing outdoors at 7-15ft heights so listening and observation skills are taken highly into consideration. Students must demonstrate determination and patience when learning, take criticism well and work in cooperation and non-competition with others.
