The Sunbridge Institute Diversity Fund Scholarship is for BIPOC Sunbridge Early Childhood, Elementary, and High School program students who are preparing for careers in Waldorf education within North America. Scholarship funds will be distributed evenly over the course of their program's yearly intensives (3/5 funds distributed in summer, 1/5 each in fall and spring). If a student does not attend an intensive, scholarship funds will be withheld.

Diversity Fund scholarship applicants must:

Identify as a person of color
Be accepted into or already enrolled in a Sunbridge Early Childhood, Elementary, or High School Teacher Education diploma program (full track or completion track)
Be currently working in, or intending to work in, an AWSNA- or WECAN-affiliated school
Submit an application essay (below)

Note: When determining awards, financial need may be taken into consideration. Scholarship amounts are dependent on available funds.

Please submit a 750-1,000-word personal statement addressing the following questions:

What is your racial background as it relates to this scholarship?
What is your interest in and/or connection to Waldorf education?
What are your goals in terms of Waldorf education, and how can this scholarship help you with these goals?
Anything else you would like us to know about you?

As a condition of receiving and accepting a Diversity Fund scholarship, I agree to:

Maintain my status as a Sunbridge student in good standing, including complying with due dates for assignments and practica, and tuition payments.

Respond to a follow-up questionnaire about my Diversity Fund Scholarship in a timely manner in order to be in compliance with the reporting requirements of our funding sources.

Keep Sunbridge apprised of my current work situation during my studies and in the 3-5 years following my graduation.
