The following was agreed: Private Tutors Egypt (PTE) is a representative of the tutor and work in collaboration with the tutor. The company provides tutoring and educational services to families/students. These students will be matched with you according to your profile and the family/student's approval. Herein are the agreement articles and commitments to which you will be abiding to you as part of our tutoring and referee team. Contract comes into effect upon signature.
Article 1: Mandate: The tutor is the employee of the private employer i.e. parents/students and contracted with PTE. Private Tutors Egypt ensures the centralisation of the tutor's salaries by making monthly payments for validate work hours, by ensuring net wages including transportation allowances and teaching preparation allowances. As the tutor's mandator, PTE is in charge of sending the tutor the salary slips pertaining to the months worked. The present mandate is valid only if all the documents of the tutor's file have been completed and are at the disposal of PTE and up to date. It allows PTE to present the tutor to a private employer but does not induce any obligation of this presentation. PTE cannot ensure that your profile will match the students' request. Private Tutors Egypt's referee program allows tutors to earn additional income and is compensated by PTE in the form of bonuses and added monthly income.
Article 2: Independence of Tutors: The tutor will receive instructions regarding his work directly from the client who will be his private employer, or by PTE as the mandator of the client; in particular in regards to the teaching means or methods to be implemented, teaching material, tutor training, the schedules, the frequency and the duration of the classes given. The tutor assumes full responsibility for his/her teaching plan and educational activities, unless teaching program is provided by PTE or the parent(s)/student(s)
Article 3: Tutor Salary: The salary of the teacher is the sole responsibility of the private employer. This remuneration results from an agreement between the employer and the tutor. Prior to any intervention by a tutor, PTE will have communicated the proposed net hourly rate and the tutor would have accepted it (Gross. rate = +14% income tax paid on behalf of the tutor by PTE to the governmental tax collector In addition, the tutor will be paid a portion of his/her transportation costs and tutoring fees in accordance with applicable legal provisions and without PTE's liability being sought in this respect (these allowances are included in the net hourly pay Accepting a tutoring offer is committing to the duration that has been agreed with family. PTE ensures that the private employer has sufficient hours-contracts and will seek to retrieve any unpaid worked hours on behalf of the tutor. The sums received by PTE for the tutor's account will make the subject of pay slips sent out on the 5th of each month or first business day following said date. A corresponding transfer will be issued to the tutor's account by the 8th of each month, for validated hours submitted by the 24th of each month.
Article 4: Referee Program: The referee program is the sole responsibility of Private Tutors Egypt and is transferred on a monthly basis by the 8th of each month, for validated referrals by the 28th of each month with a corresponding salary slip available on the 5th of each month or first business day following said date. The net value of the bonus is 550 EGP for tutor referrals who have succeeded & completed PTE's hiring process as well as the agreement signature. Thereferee program for students applies when a parent/student signs up with Private Tutors Egypt and completes their package purchase. The tutor then receives a 15% bonus from the price of the total package. Article 5: Commitment:
a- Tutors will commit to the weekly working number of hours selected herein; when and if matching offers are made available and compatible in terms of location, level, subject, schedule and, profile.
b- Since the tutor intervenes in the home of the private employer, the teacher commits to: respecting the schedules set with the family or student, notifying the family or student in case of delay and agree on a replacement date in case of cancellation of a lesson.
c- Any cancellation should be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time. Tutors are allowed 2 last minute cancellation of lessons per private employer. Any additional last-minute cancellation will result in a reduced fee of the lesson (50% off the next lesson Furthermore, any last-minute cancellation from the private employer has to be communicated to PTE - students are allowed 2 last-minute cancellation - any further last-minute cancellation must be notified to PTE to be able to claim full payment of a one-hour lesson on behalf of the tutor.
d- Be presentable with proper dressing attire and personal hygiene, be friendly and courteous, no smoking at the home of the private employer, turn off/silence mobile phones during lessons. Respect the intimacy of families, and in particular the culture, the choice of life, the private space and the property of the student and the family. Oblige to the reserve and discretion in exchanges with students, in particular where it concerns religious, political, philosophical convictions or for any other consideration or orientation of a personal order.
e- Do not accept any delegation of power over assets, goods or rights, any donation, any monetary propositions any deposit of funds, jewels or values, and any element of heritage made by the family/student.
f- Carry out the follow-up points destined to keep PTE informed of the progress of the student, inform the family regularly of the development of the lessons, report to PTE, as the tutor's mandator, any difficulties encountered in the course of the interventions.
g- The tutor must intervene in person or online depending on lesson choice, without the possibility of substitution, at the private employer' home when applicable, within the exclusive framework defined by the present mandate
h- Tutors will respect the administrative steps required and be responsive towards their advisor to ensure smooth processing of the student/tutor's data. Validate work hours regularly after each session to ensure salary payment and ensure consistency of lessons to advisor, complete surveys, complete trainings, attend meetings (optional panelsDo not disclose any information relating to this mandate and the information that will be available to tutor during his interventions to any third party
Article 6: Child Protection: In the context of his/her work in close collaboration with minors, the tutor expressly declares that he is not the subject of prosecution of criminal information for a crime or offence contrary to probity and morals or for planned offences, never have been the subject of a judicial conviction, been deprived by judgment of all or part of the civil, civic and family rights.
Article 7: Documents and Extracts of Criminal Records: The tutor must deliver to Private Tutors Egypt before the beginning of any collaboration an extract of criminal record. Moreover, he certifies the authenticity of all the elements constituting his administrative file at Private Tutors Egypt and undertakes to inform Private Tutors Egypt of any modification of his personal situation pertaining to address, certifications, diplomas, update criminal background checks, court order in relation to Article 5. The tutor is informed and agrees that Private Tutors Egypt (PTE) will scan the documents sent by the tutor concerning his/her identification and diplomas, all the administrative, social or fiscal bodies and complete the necessary administrative procedures as well as share the necessary information pertaining to the tutor's credentials and picture with the clients or on PTE's website. This mandate is concluded for an unlimited period (unless updates of said terms are updated, in which case tutor may have to sign a new agreement It may be terminated at any time by either party with one month's notice with an official e-mail resignation sent to Human Resources email address: hr@privatetutorsegypt.com
Article 8: Duration - General Provisions - Non-compete:
a. The tutor expressly and unreservedly forbids himself, during the present term of office and during the year following the contract termination, to pursue, directly or indirectly, outside the scope of this mandate, his/her collaboration with the private employers presented by PTE. Further on, tutors will not engage in work with competing entities providing tutoring & educational services or receive recommendations from current employers to work with other students.
b. If he/she violates this provision, he/she will be terminated effective immediately and will be banned from PTE and/or other platforms in relation to PTE. It is recalled that concealed work is punishable by criminal pursuit. Tutors agreeing to the terms and conditions of this mandate cannot use the information provided by PTE regarding the private employer to their own profit. Any breach of said agreement will automatically result in legal pursuits.
