Volunteers needed at Toronto Pearson Airport to coordinate transportation at airport

October 2 update

• We are full for most pre-training days with the exception of Monday, October 20th afternoon and Monday evening at the Airport only.  Over 100 swimmers and delegates require support at the airport with finding arranged transportation in scheduled shuttles and UBERS.
• We require volunteers at TPASC on Thursday (23rd) and Friday (24th), especially the AM shift.
• Saturday (25th) is full.

Information 

• Volunteers will be needed from Monday, October 20 to Saturday, October 25
• Arrival and Pre-training days: Oct 20 - Oct 22
• Competition days: Oct 23 - Oct 25
• Departure days: Oct 25 - Oct 26
• We ask that everyone consider the many, many volunteer positions that are needed to run this event.
• Details can be found HERE
• Officials who would consider helping in non-officials positions can use this form.
• The application to officiate at World Cup is closed.  Officials selected will be contacted.  Those not selected can consider helping in non-officiating positions by completing this form.
• Swimming Canada provides unisex adult size t-shirts for volunteers.
• You will be asked to upload a photograph for your accreditation. This photo has very specific guidelines necessary to be accepted by World Aquatics and Swimming Canada.

The Aiport & Transportation positions have 3 available shifts

• Morning - 6AM-12noon
• Afetrnoon - 12noon-6PM
• Evening - 6PM-12midnight

In order to accomodate people's schedule the TPASC shifts are either 2 or 3 options.  The afternoon shift will require less volunteers

Accreditation & Registration/Volunteer Check-in/Access Control

• Morning - 7AM-12noon
• Afternoon - 12noon-4PM
• Evening - 4PM-8:30PM

Ticketing/Runner

• Morning - 7:30AM-12noon
• Evening - 4PM-8:30PM

Times are estimates and may be adjusted based on availability.

Photo Guidelines

The photograph which you provide with your application must be in the format specified below. These format requirements meet internationally agreed standards.

Please note that failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in youraccreditation NOT being processed.

Examples of acceptable and not acceptable photos can be found HERE

The photographs must be:

• taken against a plain white, light grey or light cream background
• free from shadows
• taken in full-face view directly facing the camera, chin and shoulders must be visible
• with a neutral expression with the mouth closed (no grinning, frowning or raised eyebrows)
• taken with the eyes open looking straight at the camera and clearly visible (with no sunglasses or tinted spectacles, and no hair across the eyes)
• in sharp focus and clear
• free from reflection or glare on spectacles, the frames of which must not cover any part of the eyes
• taken of the full head, without any covering unless worn for religious reasons (provided that a person is photographed likewise in the passport)
• of each person on their own (no objects, chair backs or other people visible)
• free from any editing to improve or alter the appearance in any way
• taken no earlier than 6 months
