    Once submitted – you’ll receive an email with next steps and a copy of our Foster Care Agreement. 

    To be eligible to foster an anaimal for Sydney Dogs & Cats Home, you must:

    • Be 18 Years or Older
    • Live in Sydney. *No Interstate Fostering.
    • Be able to transport your foster animal to & from Sydney Dogs & Cats Home.

  • *Experience can include previous fostering, pets or any other experience you wish to share.

  • *These dogs need some extra care to help them adjust to home life. We will be available to provide ongoing advice and assistance.

  • Fostering A Cat

    Tell us little bit more about your experience with cats
  • All foster cats and kittens should be kept indoors in a secure environment. If they spend time outside, it will need to be in a fully enclosed area with no opportunity for the cat to jump/climb out.  

  • *These cats need some extra care to help them adjust to home life. They may need their own safe space or room to acclimate to their foster carer. We will be available to provide ongoing advice and assistance.

  • Fostering Rabbits & Pocket Pets

    Tell us little bit more about your experience with smaller animals
  • All rabbits and pocket pets should be kept indoors only. They will likely spend most of their time in a secure enclosure to avoid any harm to themselves or your home. If they spend time outside, it will need to be in a fully enclosed area with no opportunity for the animal to jump/climb out.
