The Other Art Fair Chicago

Welcome to The Artisan Edit Application for The Other Art Fair Chicago Winter 2026, taking place this December 17-20 at Artifact Events.

Why you should apply

• At our Fall fair 100% of Artisan Edit artists made sales,
• Average return on the booth fee was 4x - after the cost of the booth,
• Limited section with only 8-10 participants,
• Dedicated marketing in our Fair Guide, Social and PR campaigns.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this section artists may only show three dimensional decorative artwork made in glass, ceramic, metal or wood mediums.

Items eligible for display and sale include: Vases, Bowls, Decorative Plates and Sculptures/Figurines, Planters.

Items not eligible for display and sale include: Cookware, Dinnerware, Kitchen utensils, Jewelry.

Please Note: Functional work may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the jury's discretion. To be considered, functional pieces must demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship and strong artistic merit. Inclusion of functional work is not guaranteed.

Application & Booth Area Information

Please consider the following before beginning your application:

• Each application is reviewed carefully, only artists who meet eligibilty requirements fully will hear back from the fair on the next steps of their application. 
• The application deadline is August 16th, 2026 and all applicants will be notified on a rolling basis over the following 4 weeks. 
• Applications must be completed in one sitting, so we highly recommend making sure you start the application when you can take the time to complete it in full.
• Prepare to upload image files of four (4) artworks that are indicative of the type of work you wish to exhibit at the Fair, please keep in mind works showcasing a similar in style, medium, price, and size. Files will need to be .jpg and under 5MB.
• Prepare to upload two (2) images of past booths at other fairs, events or artist marketplaces.  Files will need to be .jpg and under 5MB.
• Questions marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. 
• All successful applicants must commit to attending the fair in person to represent their own work. A deposit is required to confirm participation, and 100% of booth fees are due in advance of the fair.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This application is for The Artisan Edit. If you are wishing to apply to our General Artist Application or New Futures program you will need to submit through a different application.

If successful, you will be contacted with an offer to exhibit. Your Fair Package will include:

• A booth at The Other Art Fair Chicago taking place at Artifact Events December 17-20, 2026. 
• Preparatory materials to assist you in making the most of your investment, including dedicated workshops, an artist portal, weekly email updates, and more.
• Consideration for inclusion in pre- and post-Fair marketing campaigns through The Other Art Fair and Saatchi Art.
• Artist networking to help you connect with a global community of artists. 

Booth Pricing for Chicago Spring 2026 Artisan Section:

$650 USD plus tax
Open booth area equal to 8'x 8' of space (No walls, lighting or electrical are provided)

All art sales made onsite at the fair are processed through our central payment system, where an 18% commission is taken by the fair.
