  • Classroom Activity Application

    AccessArts grants fund classroom-based arts education activities that will be implemented within the current school year. Examples of eligible projects include but are not limited to: curriculum purchases, teaching artist expenses, lesson supplies, remote arts education costs, etc.
  • Teacher Innovation Application

     AccessArts grants support investments in teacher innovation. Examples include but are not limited to: professional development opportunities, collaborations, integrating arts education learning standards with other subject area learning, creating new teaching approaches, etc. 
  • Arts Education Investment Application

    AcessArts provides funding for costs associated with longer term investments in arts education infrastructure. Examples of eligible projects include but are not limited to equipment purchases, facility renovations or upgrades, curriculum development, funding for arts education staffing, etc. AccessArts grants should not replace other sources of arts education funding. We seek to supplement funding for schools with existing arts education resources and to help catalyze arts education investments in schools that might not  have these resources.

    Below is a sample worksheet to build your budget of your estimated expenses and both confirmed and requested income sources for your project. Feel free to alter, expand or shrink the table to adapt to your project’s needs.
    Before submitting your budget, please check the following:

    • ALL funding sources are included (both confirmed and pending)
    • Letters of support and/or approved meeting minutes from other funding partners are attached

  • AccessArts Funding Requirements

    • AccessArts grants must be used for the purposes expressed in this grant application. Any changes to the project parameters must receive written approval from TOArts.
    • AccessArts grants must be used for classroom-based learning and not for extracurricular activities or transportation costs.
    • Classroom activity and teacher innovation projects must be completed within one year.

     

  • TOArts Acknowledgement Requirements 

    • State in related printed materials, newsletter, websites, eBlasts, promotional pages, invitations and electronic announcements, “This project was made possible with funding from TOArts,” and include TOArts AccessArts logo.
    • Notify the audience at performances/activities of TOArts’ role in the project.
    • If notified in advance and if possible, we’d be happy to attend or support your performance or exhibition.

  • Final Report Requirements

    Upon completion of the project, grant recipients have 60 days to submit the following Final Report materials to TOArts: 

    1. Completed Reflection Form  
    2. Final Budget 
    3. Evaluation Materials 
      1. One (1) to five (5) samples of completed assessment tools (i.e. rubric, survey, matrix, observation, grade, etc.) used to determine student evaluation
    4. Testimonials
      1. Letter of Impact acknowledging the grant award and its impact at your school.
      2. Testimonials from students, teachers, parents and/or teaching artists.
    5. Documentation
      1. Photographs/videos of students engaged in the art-making process or images of final works/projects and signed media release forms (available for download on our website)
      2. Samples of any related program materials (i.e. newsletters, website pages, eBlasts, promotional flyers, invitations, electronic announcements).
