  • THEATRE CREDITS GRANT OVERVIEW

"We need a place. We need a place where we can perform. We need a place where we can exhibit. We need a place where we can simply come together."

    —Dr. Raymond M. Olson

Named for our visionary arts advocate and founder who coined the phrase "We Need A Place," this program supports the dreams of local artists by providing nonprofit arts organizations financial assistance to make usage of the BAPAC theatre facilities more accessible.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

    ☐ Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

☐ Must have a secured performance date on the Bank of America Performing Arts Center calendar

☐ Must be an arts-based performance

An arts-based performance is defined as a live work in which artistic disciplines such as theatre, dance, music, visual arts, or spoken-word poetry performance are the primary focus of the presentation and central experience for the audience, rather than a supplemental element used to convey informational or instructional content.
