  • The Salvation Army exists in three communities across the Capital Regional District. The location closest to your living address will be the one to serve you.

Applying to a unit outside of your area may result in your being redirected to a more appropriate location.

Proof of address will be required at the time of pick up.

  • Currently we are accepting applications for school supplies for children in Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K-12).

Each child will receive a kit with basic supplies for their grade level.

Any extra school supplies that your child(ren) require is up to the parent/guardian to provide.

  • The purpose of this assistance is to ensure all students receive a fair start at the beginning of each school year. The Salvation Army acknowledges the significant expenses families juggle, and it is our hope to alleviate some of that pressure for those most at risk. It is our pleasure to assist the most vulnerable in our communities.

  • The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.

While The Salvation Army endeavours to meet the needs of everyone coming to us for assistance, the size of the demand has exceeded our capacity. For this reason we are introducing new eligibility criteria.

  • Who is Eligible?

You are eligible for assistance if your combined annual gross family income (line 150 of most recent tax assessment of all family members) is within or below the following income levels and/or your children are receiving Provincial Subsidy.

    # in Household Combined Income
    2 $38,922
    3 $47,851
    4 $58,096
    5 $65,892
    6 $74,315
    7+ $82,739

These numbers are determined by the Statistics Canada low income threshold.

  • Below, you will be asked to declare your combined household income. Please note, you may be asked to provide proof of income for all members of your household at, or before, the time of pick up.

Households with an income level higher than that outlined, may be considered for assistance, on a case by case basis. Please be prepared to share why you are applying for assistance if your income is above the low income threshold.
