The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) develops official professional policies, in the form of position statements, for the continuum of pharmacy practice settings in integrated health systems.  All approved position statements will reflect one of the core pillars of the organization:  Advocacy – Leadership –Community – Education – Research.  The position statements of TSHP represent a consensus of professional judgment, expert opinion, and documented evidence. They provide guidance and direction to TSHP members, pharmacy practitioners, and other audiences who affect Texas pharmacy practice. Their use by members and other practitioners is strictly voluntary, and their content should be assessed and adapted to meet the needs of specific hospital and/or health-system settings. Position statements will be reviewed on a quarterly basis and upon approval from the TSHP Board of Directors, the approved position statements will be presented to the membership at the Annual Seminar Meeting prior to formal TSHP membership voting.  Please provide sufficient detail as possible in addition provide any additional attachments which are pertinent to your position statement.
