  • 📄 Documents Required for an Offer in Compromise

    If you are pursuing an Offer in Compromise, the IRS requires detailed financial documentation. Please be prepared to upload the following:

    • Your two most recent pay stubs (or proof of income if self-employed)
    • Bank statements for the last 3 months (all accounts)
    • Most recent tax return
    • Documentation for any assets (vehicles, property, retirement accounts, or investments)

    • Monthly living expense information (housing, utilities, transportation, insurance, etc.)

    Complete and accurate uploads are required to evaluate eligibility and avoid delays.

  • Amended Return (1040-X) Upload Instructions

    To review and prepare an amended return, please upload all of the following:

    • A copy of the originally filed tax return
    • All original tax documents used to file that return, including W-2(s) and any 1099s
    • Any new or corrected documents related to the change (revised W-2s, 1099s, credits, IRS notices, etc.)

    Important: If The Solutions Center did not prepare the original tax return, the originally filed return alone is not sufficient. Original tax documents (such as W-2s) are required to verify payer information and EINs needed for amendment and electronic submission.

    Amended returns are reviewed and billed upfront.

    To review and prepare an amended return, please upload all of the following:

    Please upload each document separately and select the correct document type for each upload.

    Amended returns are reviewed and billed upfront. A full tax intake is not required unless additional information is needed to complete the amendment.

  • Upload any letter that looks tax-related, including:

        •    IRS notices (CP letters, balance due, audit, identity verification, etc.)

        •    Franchise Tax Board (FTB) notices

        •    State tax agency letters

        •    Payroll tax or sales tax notices

        •    Letters requesting information, payment, or response

        •    “Scary” letters even if you’re not sure what they mean
