Farm Volunteering FAQ
Where is the farm located?
WE Over Me Farm is located on the campus of Paul Quinn College
3837 Simpson Stuart Rd, Dallas, TX 75241
Do we have to volunteer at 9:00 am?
Most volunteers plan to be at the from from 9:00am - 12:00 pm. However, we can structure a farm day that works best for your organization as needed.
Is there a contingency plan in case of rain and/or inclement weather?
Due to the outdoor nature of the farm and volunteer work that is most helpful, any volunteer events significantly impacted by inclement weather will need to be rescheduled. Thank you for understanding.
What will volunteers be doing?
This depends on your volunteer date. Volunteers help us with seasonal work maintaining and expanding farm programs. We always do our best to give our volunteers an idea of what kind of farm work they will be helping with, but please understand that tasks and projects can change as farm needs change. We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to join us!
Can I volunteer on my own, outside of a group/organization?
While we do not have individual opportunties at this time, please stay tuned for our individual volunteer sign ups coming this fall! At the moment, our staff is better equipped to host scheduled groups and organizations.
What do I need to bring?
You! Comfortable clothes, your own reusable water bottle, and work gloves if you already have a pair are also helpful (if not, we will provide work gloves to use while volunteering).
Please contact us at weovermefarm@pqc.edu or 214.379.5457 for any questions not addressed. Thank you!
