The Penguin Project is a national organization that provides theatre opportunities for young artist with learning challenges, developmental and physical disabilities. These artists, known as Penguins, are given the opportunity to perform lead roles in a full-scale musical production while working with a peer mentor who offers support, friendship, and guidance throughout the rehearsal and performance process.
The Penguin Project is designed for participants between the ages of 8 and 22.
Rehearsals: Begin March 19th and will be typically held Mondays and Thursdays from 5pm - 6:30pm and Saturdays from 10am to 12pm.
Please note that rehearsals during the first few weeks may only be one day a week and will build to multiple days as the schedule gets closer to performances. You may not be called for each rehearsal but will be called for at least one rehearsal a week.
Performance Dates: Seussical Jr. will be performed June 19-21 at Theatre Charlotte.
Space is limited. Completing this form does not guarantee placement in the program. Registrants will be notified in mid-February.
